The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), one of the largest providers of continuing medical education in the UK, has teamed up with the University of Glamorgan to provide a flexible distance learning degree in Independent Prescribing (CPD).
The course is aimed at health professionals who currently prescribe – or who will be in a position to prescribe. It will provide professionals with an extended knowledge of the principles of prescribing, including the underpinning science; the psychological, social and physical impact of prescribing, and ethical and legal issues in a complex and constantly evolving area.

Tiffany Oben has won the University of Glamorgan’s Art Purchase Prize for students, with the main prize going to Ivor Davies. Tiffany, who is currently studying for an MA Art Practice at Glamorgan, created the winning work while on the BA (Hons) Art Practice.
