The First Campus Junior Rock Music Academy has taken place at the University of Glamorgan’s ATRiuM campus in Cardiff where 48 children from across South East Wales were given one-to-one tuition with university graduate students.
Welsh Bacc Conference at Glamorgan

First Campus, based at the University of Glamorgan’s Centre for Lifelong Learning, organised a ‘Delivering the Welsh Baccalaureate; Wales-Wide Approaches’ conference on Thursday 21st January 2010.
More than a hundred delegates from the education sector across Wales came to share their experiences of working with the qualification and discuss ways forward. Keynote speeches came from Gavin Thomas of CollegesWales (previously Fforwm) and Ross Thomas of the WJEC.

Friday, 31st October, saw Merthyr Tydfil’s town centre link bridge from the college car park to the town centre transformed into the ‘Bridge Gallery’ as a Glamorgan GATES exhibition was launched. The exhibition, launched to celebrate Big Draw day, included the work of 70 participants who took part in a month long art project that spanned the whole borough. Over 80 people and passers by were treated to a poetry reading by Andrew Thomas from Merthyr College.
