Top New University in Wales for Third Year Running

The University of Glamorgan is officially the top new university in Wales, and is among the top 10 new universities in the UK, according to the Guardian league tables which are published on-line today, 1st May.

Glamorgan is placed in 57th place, moving up 7 places since last year and remaining the best new university in Wales for the third year running.

Cardiff University is the only Welsh institution which comes ahead of Glamorgan in the rankings.

Peter Crofts, Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment said, “This is fantastic news for Glamorgan and coming on the back of being nominated for University of the Year by the Times Higher Education it is further evidence of the high regard in which the University is held.”

The league tables are released online only today with the hard copy appearing in the Guardian education supplement on Tuesday 13 May.
