A student from the University of Glamorgan, Shamaine Robinson, has been selected by the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) from hundreds of applicants to participate in an intensive, three day residential programme to develop her business idea and set her on the road to entrepreneurial success.

Students at the Glamorgan Summer School have got an extra special reason to celebrate this year as they mark the 100th year of the school.
Now hosted by the University of Glamorgan, the Summer School started life a century ago in Barry and runs for two weeks each summer.
Over 500 students from across the world attend the school each year, including visitors from Japan, America, Australia and Germany.

An electronics centre, which will test the high tech automotive solutions of the future, is being launched at the University of Glamorgan this week.
The Centre for Electronic Product Engineering, will provide industry with access to state of the art testing equipment which will facilitate advancements in the use of electronics in the automotive sector.

The sound of rock music has been heard emanating through the streets of Merthyr Tydfil over the past fortnight as some of the countries most influential music producers, who have worked with the likes of Elton John, Status Quo, East 17 and Boyzone have travelled to Merthyr to work with four local bands.
