The inaugural professorial lecture of Professor Peter McCarthy, from the Faculty of Health, Sport and Science.
Digital devices and electronic sensors are obviously more accurate than the older measurement devices that relied on physical properties.
We all know that electronic equipment can make measurements more frequently and with greater objectivity that mere humans, but is the assumption of accuracy correct?
