Stress in Sport: From Choking to the Yips

Professor Richard Mullen’s inaugural professorial lecture will focus upon the effects of stress on competitive sports performance.

The lecture will focus on how traditional methods of learning and teaching can lead to performance that is vulnerable when highly skilled athletes compete under pressure. Professor Mullen will explore how alternative coaching methods may help promote more robust performance under pressure.


Lecture details

Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm in GT7121 and a hot buffet will be served in the Zone after the Lecture
