Talk: Uses and Abuses of Risk Adjusted Mortality Indices

Dr. Mohammed Mohammed of Birmingham University will be giving a talk on the Uses and Abuses of Risk Adjusted Mortality Indices (RAMI) on Tuesday 28 February 2012 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Aneurin Bevan Building Room (GT 7119), Lower Glyntaff Campus, University of Glamorgan.

RAMI are to be used as major indicators of the performance of the NHS in Wales. Concern, however, has been expressed over what it is that RAMI really measure and the extent to which they are a valid reflection the performance of local hospitals. Dr. Mohammed is an expert on RAMI and has reviewed the evidence of the relationship between RAMI scores and quality of care.
